Among the goals of this fellowship are to provide a variety of forums for youth to engage in Christ-Centered activities. By using their time and talents for God, they will grow closer in their relationship with him. David and Rachel believe in keeping the youth of the Church involved in positive, enriching activties with other youth.

Following the plan and purpose of God's Word and the vision of Center Point Church, the youth live each of the five purposes set forth for the Church. They engage in contemporary worship and have regular fellowship. The youth are also committed to the character development that comes with discipleship. They are also engaged in ministry and serving others. Finally, through Wildfire Outreach projects, the youth are committed to evangelism and reaching the world for Christ.

FLASHPOINT, Center Point Church's youth fellowship, meets every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. There are a variety of activities including worship, Bible study, crafts, and recreation time. Snacks are available also.

David and Rachel Perdue (Flash Point Directors)

David and Rachel Perdue are the youth leaders at Center Point United Baptist Church. They coordinate “Flash Point”, Center Point’s youth fellowship. They have been involved in youth ministry and music ministry for many years. They also have a group called “Deep Water Faith” that evangelizes the community with contemporary Christian music.

Professionally, David is a supervisor with the Local 80. Rachel is the CASA volunteer coordinator in Lincoln and Boone counties. She also is a piano instructor. She is a graduate of Marshall University with degrees in legal assisting and criminal justice. They have three children (Michael, Johnathan, and Karlie). They reside in Hamlin.
